For 2 months I didn’t coded anything even a byte but by my friend’s favor I coded a class with 4 lines today.
Yesterday my frustrated friend, who is just delivering Chinese food when he’s 35 years old this year, declared in front of me and 2 other friends that he’s gonna solve one single problem of an exam for government employee according to my suggestion. right after I gave him an advice that not to pursue passing the exam but treat like if he’s gonna fall from the first exam and solving single problem for everyday for 3rd or 4th try, I thought that even the simple step wouldn’t be that easy for who never challenged for anything for 15 years, so I declared that I’m gonna code a line for my game as well.
Then he said okay and “let’s bet who’s gonna fall or keep like until our next meeting in 15th of July, so the loser would buy all the drinks for the day” with a triumphant air.
Today is the first day and he ain’t still not giving us the proof of that he solved and apparently I won the game from beginning LOL. but It’s still sad cuz I really want to enlighten my friend that he has potential and being better isn’t require big things for a day but small but consistent actions on a regular basis.
When I was a middle school student I felt good when I heard psycho or genius from friends and I realized that small differences can be treated a big brain if he has 3 or 4 things. For instance I draw a cartoon, played the guitar, and did the martial arts, and had a few computer knowledge. and I’ve done them all with very small efforts. I still got some comment from acquaintances that I’m a genius or smart where I can do a lot of things. The thing is I’m a master of none and jack o’all trades for each of which I can.
Consistency is the strongest one. The amount or the strength doesn’t matter at all. What I told my friend last night was that lifting even only a bar every day for a month is a way better than lifting 100 pounds for a day. A way to keep the consistency of life is to know the proper weight of action for keeping it everyday. so, Tomorrow I will run 10 minutes and code 1 line. Because I’m a lazy bastard.
